Find and store the ground height from GMap/Earth into SQL Database

    Hi Forum,

I am looking at this control with interest. I am trying to find a good way to interact with the free Google or Microsoft GIS information through the following:

    1. Enable a user to select a single point and copy all lat, lon and ground height values within X kilometers into SQL Database for Mathematical Analysis and caching

    2. Enable a ground profile to be graphed (with data in SQL Database) between two points with further Mathematical Analysis

    3. Output results from (1) as geo-referenced .BMP on the Google Map/Earth terrain

So, my first question is: can this be done with this control. The second is: Does anyone have some example code/ideas on the best way to do this? I am considering both a Win Forms option and also a hosted Website.

    Many thanks

    Colin.

The control doesn't do this for you, sorry. The control is created to assist you to render a Google map on your web page.
